Compassionate counselling for personal growth and healing
I am a psychotherapist trained in Gestalt therapy with over six years of experience. I specialise in Psychotherapy and Counselling and currently work at one of Australia’s leading rehabilitation centres. I support people living with depression, anxiety, addiction, and childhood developmental trauma, helping them navigate challenges and build resilience.
My path to becoming a therapist has been shaped not only by professional training but also by my own lived experience. Having faced addiction, depression, and anxiety myself, I understand the courage it takes to begin the healing process. This personal insight gives me a deep sense of empathy and respect for the people I work with.
In addition to individual therapy, I specialise in group facilitation. My group's focus is on deepening relationships, building connections, and supporting individuals in their recovery from trauma. Currently, I am running a Yalom-style mixed gender process group and a dedicated men’s trauma group. Both offer space for deep exploration, relational insight, and healing. I believe groups can be uniquely powerful, offering spaces for honesty, support, and shared humanity. At the heart of my work is the belief that change is always possible. In our work together, I support you in discovering more authentic, connected ways of being with yourself, with others, and within the world you inhabit.

Psychotherapy and counselling offer a safe, confidential space to explore what’s troubling you, whether it’s anxiety, trauma, relationship challenges, or simply feeling stuck. Talking with a trained professional can help you understand your patterns, gain clarity, and develop tools to navigate life with more ease and confidence. It’s not about being “fixed,” but about being supported as you grow, heal, and reconnect with yourself.
Counselling tends to focus on specific issues, such as grief, stress, trouble at work, time management, or decision-making, and is often short-term.
Psychotherapy goes deeper, exploring long-standing patterns, emotional wounds, and unconscious processes that may be shaping your present. It’s usually longer-term and suited to more complex concerns. In practice, there’s overlap, and I draw from both approaches depending on your needs. What matters most is that we work together in a way that feels safe, respectful, and effective for you.

Gestalt therapy helps you build self-awareness and emotional balance by focusing on the present moment. It encourages understanding your thoughts, feelings, and actions as they happen, helping you create positive change and a stronger sense of wellbeing.

Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR) is a gentle yet powerful therapy that helps the brain process and heal from distressing memories and trauma. By using guided eye movements or other forms of bilateral stimulation, EMDR helps reduce emotional triggers and promotes calm, balanced responses in daily life.

Our group sessions create a safe, supportive space to explore personal challenges, relationships, and growth with others. Inspired by the work of Irvin Yalom, these groups encourage openness, connection, and shared healing experiences.

Couples therapy teaches practical communication skills, repairs ruptures, and deepens emotional connection. In a safe, supportive setting, you’ll learn tools to resolve conflict, rebuild trust, and create a relationship that feels more secure and satisfying.

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy is a practical, evidence-based approach that helps you understand how your thoughts, feelings, and actions influence one another. It supports you in developing healthier thinking patterns and coping skills to manage stress, anxiety, or low mood more effectively.

Somatic Experiencing focuses on how the body holds stress and trauma. Through gentle body awareness and guided exercises, it helps release tension, restore a sense of safety, and build resilience, supporting both emotional and physical well-being.

Family Constellations is a powerful therapeutic method that explores hidden patterns and dynamics within families or systems. By gaining new insight and perspective, you can release emotional burdens, strengthen relationships, and move forward with greater clarity and peace.
